DSOM-010R is a Rockchip RK3328 SoM with excellent hard decoding and image processing capability as well as a plethora of interfaces for developing various human-machine interaction and home automation devices. Compact form factor (44mm*44mm). Stamp hole 132 PIN, Operation Temperature 0 ~ 80 ℃.

Overview of DSOM-010R RK3328 SoM System on Module

High-performance: DSOM-010R RK3328 SoM features a high-performance Rockchip quad-core A53 processor, with up to 8GB DDR4 memory, eMMC 5.1 (4GB / 8GB optional), and can be equipped with a TF card to increase storage. It can run Android, and Debian operating system. Four models (2G+8G, 2G+32G, 2G+16G, 1G+8G) are available for order.

Rich interfaces: DSOM-010R RK3328 SoM has an integrated GMAC Ethernet controller for 2 x Gigabit RJ45 port, extended 1×10/100Mbps Ethernet or 1×10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet), and sufficient GPIO ports for exploitation. Meanwhile, it has one HDMI, one CVBS output, 3 UART (3-way serial port, one of which is for debugging), one 2-way I2C, 1 I2S (8 channels), 1 SPI, 1 ADC, 1 USB 3.0 (higher data transmission speed) and 2 USB 2.0 (one for OTG) interfaces, allowing developers to expand functionality as they want.

Development resources available: DSOM-010R RK3328 SoM can be utilized for enterprise-level second development. It supports the customization of Android/Linux+QT system, providing system call interface API reference code and enabling perfect support for customer upper-level application APP. To assist developers in completing device development quickly and efficiently, we provide a substantial amount of free and open-source development materials and SDK.

RK3328 has excellent video processing capability. It supports 4K ultra-high-definition premium (10bits) video decoding, H265/H264 hard decoding up to 60fps, featuring outstanding performance in color gamut and color quality fineness. Meanwhile, the capability of conversion between SDR and HDR strengthens the image quality. With its multi-format 1080P video decoding capabilities, the RK3328 enables users to effortlessly play an extensive range of video formats. In addition, there is a video post processor with the ability to implement tasks of de-interlace, de-noise, enhancement for edge/detail/color.

RK3328 has a USB3.0 port, which providing faster speed. Meanwhile, it includes a Gigabit Ethernet MAC and a 100Mbps Ethernet PHY inside, which can be sued with an external Gigabit Ethernet PHY to obtain Gigabit network capabilities. It is also possible to use both simultaneously and have dual-port (Gigabit + 100Mbps) capabilities.

Raspberry Pi 3 already has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) on board, support Wi-Fi configuration, as well as a 100 Base Ethernet connectivity. To use RK3328 SoM as Raspberry Pi 3 alternative, it is recommended to add Bluetooth and WiFi capability on it. You need to use either SDIO or USB to make Wi-Fi communication with the RK3328 chip. While for Bluetooth communication, you can use UART interface.
